What is Health Counseling?

Holistic health counseling is an approach to health and wellness that takes into consideration all areas of an individual's life. 

I believe that good health is not merely the result of eating more vegetables, but about aligning all aspects of a person’s life: career, exercise, eating, relationships, and spirituality.  When these components are in balance, great health is achieved. 

As a Health and Nutrition Counselor, I create a supportive environment that will enable you to achieve all of your health goals. I have studied all the major dietary theories and use practical lifestyle coaching methods to guide you in discovering which approach works best for you. My health counseling programs allow individuals to take the time to explore the facets of their health while learning about ways to make healthy changes that are flexible, rewarding and sustainable. 

Most approaches to nutrition dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins. Instead of creating lists of restrictions and good and bad foods, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.

I will guide you to find the food and lifestyle choices that best support you. I will also help you to make gradual, lifelong changes that enable you to reach your current and future health goals.

Together we’ll work to reach your health goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight, reducing food cravings, increasing sleep, and maximizing energy. As we work together, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance and health. 

How Does it Work?

It begins with a conversation. The first step in the process is a complimentary health consultation. We will spend an hour together reviewing your health history, set up some simple and achievable goals and get to know each other a bit.

In this time together you will feel inspired and supported around your individual health goals and it's a great opportunity to experience what it would be like to work with me before making a long-term investment.
